Ms. Knoll's career has been spent in domestic and international banking and finance; she is a partner in one of the "Big Six" accounting firms and is a licensed CPA and member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Her belief is that "the State Treasurer's job has become increasingly specialized and it will be essential to have a very high level of expertise in financial products and investment strategies." Among her proposed policies is the implementation of a discounted invoice policy to save the State 2% on quickly paid invoices and to encourage more small businesses to bid on state contracts. knowing they will be paid quickly.
