Born and raised in Quakertown, Ms. Hendricks earned her nursing degree from Bucks County Community College and served as a staff member of Quakertown Community Hospital from 1980 to 1993. She is now "Primary Nurse" responsible for day-to-day care of homebound patients for Home Health Corp. of America. She found her inspiration in the leadership and dedication of her father, who served as President of Upholsterers Union Local 152U at J.G. Furniture Co., Quakertown.

Her legislative priorities will be:

  • affordable healthcare for all Pennsylvanians with tax incentives for small businesses to cover employees;
  • family-friendly employment security laws;
  • tax reform focusing on fixed-income homeowners;
  • raising the living standards of seniors and fixed-income families;
  • stronger school standards and lifetime learning options;
  • a community college campus in upper Bucks County.
She describes herself as "an ordinary person with extraordinary determination" with problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
